長い時間を掛けて巡る愛 ~かつて母が私のお腹を温めてくれたように~

Enduring Love: Just as My Mother Once Warmed My Womb

"Keep your tummy warm."

Do you have a phrase that was often repeated to you as a child?

For me, it was this phrase my mother often said.

Every winter, my mother would wrap a belly band around me.

Honestly, as a child, I thought, "It's not cute, and I don't need it."

But the warmth of the belly band, wrapped by my mother's hands, unknowingly protected me from the winter cold and illness.

Back then, it was just "everyday life," and I never deeply considered what feelings my mother put into wrapping that belly band around me.

Time passed, and now I myself am a mother.

And then I realized something.

I was saying the exact same words to my children that my mother once said to me.

As winter approaches and the mornings and evenings get colder, I unconsciously say and do the same things.

"Don't let your belly get cold!"

"Make sure to wear your belly band!"

And when I securely wrap a belly band around each of them, I feel relieved. (I do...)

Now that I'm a parent, I finally understand that my mother's words, always caring that I "don't let my belly get cold," were the warmest love of all.

The other day, I was watching a TV program about parenting.

A message from a female guest's adult son to his mother was featured.

It was a very moving message, but among other things, he jokingly mentioned something he disliked about his mother when he was a child:

"Back then, even when I said I wasn't cold, my mom kept trying to put more clothes on me!" The entire studio was filled with warm laughter at his words.

However, celebrities who are also parents deeply sympathized with the mother's actions at the time, and I, watching from home, nodded profoundly.

Objectively, it might have indeed been "overdressing."

But for a mother, more than the outside temperature, there was always that maternal sense of duty: "I mustn't let my son get cold and fall ill."

A mother's greatest wish is always for her child's health.

No matter how busy she is, no matter if her own needs come last, she wants to protect her child's health above all else. This "parental love" never changes, regardless of the era or country.

But sometimes I pause and think.

My mother, who once worried about my health, is no longer young.

Before I knew it, our roles had reversed.

Now I'm the one who worries about my mother's health.

"She said her legs and lower back get cold lately." "She mentioned waking up several times at night to go to the bathroom."

As the saying goes, "cold is the source of all ailments," and a drop in body temperature can lead to a weakened immune system and various health problems.

Especially as one ages, it gradually becomes more difficult to actively move and raise one's body temperature as in youth.

Just as my mother once wrapped a belly band around me, wishing for my health.

Now, I want to give my mother a belly band that warms her every day, wishing for her health.

From parent to child, and then from child to parent again.

I feel that family love is never one-sided; it slowly completes a large circle over the course of a long life.

Now, Mother's Day is just around the corner, isn't it?

Even though we are adults now, mothers are always special and important to me and to all of you. Here, we introduce Naramaki belly bands that are perfect Mother's Day gifts, embodying that "unchanging bond between parent and child."

Yesterday, April 15th, the red "Naramaki Mecha Usui Haramaki" (Ultra-Thin Belly Band) in a Mother's Day limited edition package went on sale.

Among them, please allow me to introduce my recommendations.

The first is "Oyako Shika" (Parent and Child Deer), the most popular Naramaki design.

In the wild deer world, mothers and daughters are said to stay close throughout their lives.

Their affectionate embrace reminds me of my mother and me, always together.

The second is "Suzaku" (Vermilion Bird).

Suzaku is said to be the goddess of beauty.

If you subtly present this to a mother who cares about beauty, she might be delighted.

And one more thing.

For mothers who love flowers, the limited-time seasonal design "Sakura to Uguisu" (Cherry Blossoms and Japanese Bush Warbler) is also recommended.

The limited pink color of this design is as vibrant as carnations blooming in a room. It evokes the feeling of spring's arrival and is sure to brighten your mother's expression.

(These are just a few examples. We also have many other wonderful designs available!

Choose the embroidery that you know best suits your mother!)

The belly band is made of soft cotton and silk, gentle on delicate skin.

This belly band, made from materials we've meticulously selected, is sure to gently and warmly comfort your beloved mother's everyday life.

This Mother's Day, why not give the gift of gratitude and "warmth"?

"Mom, don't let your belly get cold."

May the belly band that gently embraces your mother's body be a gift that warms her heart as well.

Thank you for reading to the end.
