Another must-see is the Nara double cherry blossom, which is the prefectural flower of Nara Prefecture. It blooms a little later than regular cherry blossoms and is a very cute, plump little tree.

And then, "nightingale".
It has long been loved as a lucky bird, but did you know that it is also known as the "Harutsgedori" (spring messenger bird)?
In fact, it seems that nightingals are not able to sing with that beautiful "hohokekkyo" voice from the beginning.
They endure the cold throughout the winter, and as spring approaches, they begin practicing their song diligently. After practicing over and over again, they are finally able to produce that wonderful tune.
As they overcome winter and work hard to herald the arrival of spring into the new season, it feels as though they are gently cheering us on.
The cherry blossoms that have endured the cold winter are blooming, and the nightingales that have practiced so hard announce the arrival of spring.
